I want to thank God in the first instance, without whose help this rescue would not have been possible.
Nothing to do with the engineers, as usual. Usual emetic stuff. Some cretin who escaped the WTC before it collapsed later thanked God in front of the cameras. The firemen who got her out weren't so favoured.
Indeed. My difficulty is that they are praising God for the rescue, while forgetting that if God hasn't caused the collapse in the first place, there wouldn't be the need for a rescue. He did cause the collapse, didn't He? If not, who did?

'twas the work of the devil (aka "The Hood"), obviously.
