I'm alright, I wear a mask with your mugshot on.
Here's one you might like:http://www.ultimatemotorcycling.com/files/Valentino-Rossi-Donkey-Helmet%201.jpg
That's a good one. I had a couple more here. Some helmet art is brilliant (and Rossi always has the best) but Billy Mitchell ears go beyond the boundaries of taste.
Black insulating tape works:http://news.cnet.com/8301-19518_3-10457737-238.html
The simplest solutions are usually the best.
No camera in my 4 year old lappy....And when I have to buy a new machine, the first thing I will do is uninstall any software or drivers for the camera. And if that isn't possible (warranty or no warranty) the bloody thing will be physically removed or disconnected.
Black tape is quicker, easier and less likely to lead to a cock-up (or at least it would be with me). Plus it's 100% reversible.
On buying a new PC what does such a camera look like and how far should I bang a nail into it?
That article on Cnet.com (Brian, above) is rather alarming, what with malware, remote switching and remote recording. All OK as long as you are aware the camera is there. Next step - a second camera (for "your safety and protection", naturally) that you won't know about. Black-tape the obvious camera by all means. It won't make a scrap of difference.
